Willie Bloom 'Sweet Man' Ultra Rare Autographed Alley Records LP

Autographed on the front cover "With Best Wishes Willie Bloom"

US Issue Alley Records Label AL 222

Willie Bloom plays piano and sings blues songs including (5) of his own including Osceola (Arkansas) Blues. Willie began sitting in with old time greats in 1918 in Memphis with Johnson's Jazz Band.
1919 he sat in with Stewart's Band.
In 1919 and 1920 he sat in with the legendary W.C. Handy
Later with other notables like Jimmy Lunceford, Louis Armstrong, Eddie Haywood Sr., Count Basie, Fats Waller, Pete Thomas and others.
The Alley label was produced by Variety Recording Co (Jonesboro, Arkansas) and directed by Joe Lee (Papa Joe)

Grading Standards

 

NM = Only slight signs of wear; very clean with possible light surface marks which will not distract from the sound. A NM Cover may have only slight wear.

VG+ =

Played often but only slight surface wear. A VG+ cover will have some overall wear, bumped corners or some light ring wear.

 

VG = Overall wear to vinyl, including scratches on both sides but no serious defects. A VG cover is worn, usually with shelf and ring wear and possible small seam splits.

 

G = Heavy wear on record and cover. Record with possible skips and/or heavy scratches and lots of surface noise. A G cover will have split seams and heavy wear.
