Description
Up for sale is a vintage Willie Colón & Ruben Blades Siembra 12" Vinyl Record issued by Fania Records in 1978 with a catalog number of JM-00537. This record was sitting in a base cabinet for quite a few decades now (since the eighties, I believe) and was collecting quite a bit of dust on it. Since the original owner passed away, it's now being auctioned off as an estate sale auction; with most of that dust cleaned up for the purposes of this sale, of course.

The matrix numbers for this record are as follows... on Side A, there is some handwritten (or inscribed) numbers/letters that read JM-00537-A and is followed by a faintly written set of letters that seem to read I-GOL, however the dash in between these letters has a few specific scratches on it that seem to be positioned in the form of an A; so the code may be IAGOL... but I can't really say for certain, since it's so faintly inscribed. Elsewhere on this groove, a Sterling logo stamp can be seen. On side B, the matrix code is written as JM-00537-B and is then followed by the same Sterling stamped logo as the one that was on side A and is then followed by the run out portion of the code that reads I-GOL (this time there is no other scratch that could be mistaken for an A).

This cardboard record sleeve has some wear on it; with some minor flaking off of the artwork occurring along the spline and potentially elsewhere. The album, by the way, is a gatefold album cover and has some photos in the middle with the lyrics printed on it. There is some yellowing occurring all over this album; which came about naturally from general age and storage. Overall, it seems to still be in good sturdy condition, with a few scuff marks happening at the corners, along with the usual creases here and there. The inner paper sleeve for the record is still in good shape without any tears on it; but it does have some spotting on it; which is basically the usual bit of yellowing as well. The record itself may also have fingerprints and/or scratches on it from previous use. Please note that I do not have access to a working record player in order to test this album out on, so I'm selling this record in as-is condition. I'm sure it will make a fine addition to any vinyl enthusiast's record collection out there, so be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts... as I'm pricing it to move!
