Description

Willie Colon canta Hector LaVoe  "Crime Pays" Fania Records LP cat # 0406 (1972)  Original Gatefold edition with tri-color record label (pre-swaying skyscrapers & palm trees)

This is the first pressing of 1970s Fania with another controversial Willi colon "gangster" cover featuring a 1930s Rolls Royce as used by many mobsters during Prohibition on the front, inside and back covers with Willie and Hector in their hoodlum outfits. This is a compilation of their previous early recordings

Vinyl is in VG plus condition, one very slight surface scuff on side A,  no spindle wear, no markings

Gatefold album jacket is in above average condition, no seam seperation. Front cover shows some fading of background sky with a small 1-inch square tag residue on upper right hand corner next to hand written in pen in small letter the name of the former owner.along the top edge. Side edge shows some wear but catalog info is intact, inside covers show some fading of white background with no markings, Right edge shows some wear. Back cover shows a bit of record rub wear towards top and bottom. Of course, album designed by Izzy Sanabria,
