Description
What you are able to bid for is an original U.S. pressing of The Chess Box by Willie Dixon, respected singer and songwriter of Chess Records. Unlike other Chess boxes, Dixon's work not only involved his own recordings, but the many artists he played bass with or songs that he gave to his fellow Chess men and women. Some of the artists on this include Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Little Walter, Bo Diddley, Lowell Fulson, Koko Taylor, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Otis Rush, and more.
I am the sole and original owner of this box set. There are light scuffs on the front box, including a stain up the upper part of the box that was there when I originally purchased this sealed. Back box has a few scuffs but are not a distraction. Booklet and records inside are in VG+ condition, and have not been played since I purchased this 24 years ago. I had played it a small handful of times and kept it in my collection until now, as I'm choosing to part with it.
Because of the size of the box and the weight of the final package, expect to pay between $5 to $7 for U.S. parcel post. Delivery confirmation is mandatory on all bids from me.
