For your perlustrations, darlings, this 2nd album by Jesus Rock pioneers Wilson McKinley, 'Spirit of Elijah', released in the summer of 1971 on the Voice of Elijah record label.. This LP was recorded during a single overnight session with no editing or overdubs, and it's clear the group was influenced by groups such as Moby Grape and the Moody Blues. It was cut in a real live recording studio but the boys weren't real savvy with a mixing board just yet-even so, MAN does this rock!!! I agree with a review of them I read saying that they made that garage-band sound work for them-in my opinion it makes their music and message feel more real. Many people feel that this album is the group's most adventurous effort, as it contains some entirely original songs and complex, heavy driving arrangements that do occasionally give them an Allman Brothers sound.

Songs on this album are:

Side 1) He, It's Up To You, Come On Home, One In The Spirit, Tree of Life

Side 2) His Eye Is On The Sparrow, All My Life, Crown of Glory, I Need A Savior, Spirit of Elijah

This album cover is in good condition-there's light fraying and ringwear, the top left corner is creased a bit (this is more evident on the back that the front-this crease is app. 1 1/2" x 3"); also the bottom right corner is creased/bent slightly (app. 1/2" x 1/2").

But, the FUNKY-cool looking red/black/grey pic on the front looks good, and it still has some gloss!! The back cover has several light brown spots on it-from age, I'm guessing-and there's an app. 1/4" gouge on the left side, underneath the verse from the book of Malachi. Otherwise the black & white back cover looks good and still has gloss too!!

The record itself is GORGEOUS. I truly see only the VERY slightest scuffing on it, and I've just finished listening to it-it plays like a dream...If you'd like to hear some of it, just send me an email...I'll send you my phone #; you can call and listen to your heart's content!!

THANK YOU so much for taking the time to look at my eBay things!! I APPRECIATE YOU!!

If you have any other questions at all, please feel free to ask me!!

GOOD LUCK BIDDING and most of all, HAVE FUN!!
