Description
Wire "A Bell is a Cup Until it is Struck" LP
Journeying further and further into post-punk weirdness with a touch of new wave, this is Wire's 6th album. Includes "The Queen of Ur and the King of Um" and "Come back in Two Halves." Gatefold sleeve includes lyrics! Inner sleeve is a catalog for Enigma records and 1988 was a great year-sorry to get sidetracked but they call The Pogues "zydeco filtered through a Guinness tap," Anvil "Canadian Metal Gods," and Green on Red "Woody Guthrie meets the 1980s"- the catalog also has me wondering why I don't own the soundtrack for "I was a Teenage Zombie." Ok, but back to the Wire album-
From my personal collection, but I am not the original owner. I purchased this album in the early 2000s from a used record store. TESTED and PLAYS GREAT. Vinyl shows signs of handling and wear- smudges and surface scratches, minimal surface noise. Gatefold Cover is in good condition with some small dents, creases, scratches and discoloration. There is also a small cutout in the bottom left corner-usually these are present to signify that it was a promo copy. Inner sleeve is very wrinkly printed plastic. I will include a more practical paper sleeve but keep the plastic-the advertising is very entertaining. Overall, good to great condition.
I grade conservatively. I ship within 5 days. Stored in a smoke-free home but not a pet-free home. I have cats :)
I plan on selling a lot of my personal collection in the upcoming months, so check back often. I'll throw in freebies if you buy 3 or more items 🤘
