Description

This is a very nice copy of Classic Records 200g pressing of “Witches Brew” with the New Symphony Orchestra of London conducted by Alexander Gibson on 4 200g Clarity vinyl 45 RPM records (LSC-2225-45).  When I first bought this set new, the records were cleaned with a VPI record cleaner and treated with LAST record preservative.  More recently it was recleaned with Audio Intelligent Fluids on a VPI cleaner and on an Audio Desk ultra sonic record cleaner.  It has also been demagnetized with a Furutech DeMag. The recording is very spacious and dynamic. There are no scuffs or scratches. The records play mostly very quietly.  I noted 6 light ticks on side 1; 7 light ticks on side 2; 10 light ticks on side 3; 7 light ticks on side 4 with some occasional low-level surface noise near the beginning of the side.

I have only played the records a few times on various VPI tables I have owned (HW-19 MKIV, TNT 3.5, and Classic 4) using either Lyra or Benz Mico Ruby cartridges. The recent grading above was done on a VPI Classic IV with a Lyra Kleos on a 12” 3D arm through Herron electronics.  The records are housed in a large red box.  Record 1 is in a standard 200g jacket that Classic used for this issue.  Records 2-4 are in rice paper inner sleeves.   There is also an OBI or band that was around the original box when I bought it. Only side A of each LP is pressed.  Side B is blank. Multiple records can be combined in an order to save shipping costs.
