THE BEATLES

'WITH THE BEATLES'

UK 1963 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP

On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045

Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' label text but have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.

The side 2 label contains 3 errors:

  • A misspelt 'Domion' publishing credit for track 3.
  • The incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold' On Me' spelling.
  • The incorrect 'Jobete' publishing cedit for 'Money'.
  • The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the 'small' stereo logo and the incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold' On Me' title on the tracklisting.

Complete with original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner.

    Matrix nos: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2

    Stampers: 2/RM & 1/O

    Disc weight: 163g

    Labels: EXCELLENT +

    Visual: EXCELLENT

Superb bright, clean and high-gloss surfaces are totally unmarked when viewed in strong daylight. Inspection directly under halogen light reveals nothing more than one or two barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal/paper hairlines but absolutely no further marks or wear. I have downgraded half a grade due to a slight warp visible when playing on the turntable. However, this does not affect sound or play.

    Play: EXCELLENT +

This copy has received just a few careful plays and the sound from both channels on all tracks is warm and clear with no trace of background noise or groovewear distortion. Both run-ins and all bands play silently and of course there are no clicks, pops, jumps or indeed any traces of audible wear on this well looked after copy.

    Cover:

    EXCELLENT

An extremely clean & unyellowed example with a bright & glossy front panel which displays just a touch of storagewear to the laminate but no 'thumbnail' creases or other major wear. There is slight bruising to the left corners but both opening edges appear untouched. The rear panel is clean and bright white and apart from a faint stain from an old sticker just under the catalogue number, has no other signs of wear. All the flipbacks are intact, both seams unsplit and the spine is fully & clearly worded.

    Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +

  • Strict & grading under strong daylight & halogen light based upon UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
  • I play every record I sell at volume on high-end audio equipment and list all visual and audible faults.
  • Unless stated, all records lie 100% flat & play without distortion, jumps or sticks. All sleeves/covers have no writing, splits or tears.
  • The listing photos have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
  • All records are packed strongly & securely in custom-made record maling boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
