Description
Welcome to 20th Century Collectables
1963 UK STEREO 1st pressing with ‘Parlophone’ rim labels, ‘Jobete’ label credit, ‘Recording First Published’ and large sized STEREO cover dating to 22nd November 1963.
The word rarity is sometimes over used however stereo pressings from any of the early Beatles albums are now becoming increasingly hard to find in any condition non more so than ‘With the Beatles’. On offer here is a genuine 1963 UK 1st STEREO pressing in fabulous condition and which has had only a handful of plays in its 50 year history.
Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & XEX 111-2 (UK first pressing)
Stamper codes: 2/G0 & 1/A (first mother)

CONDITION
Disc
Visual: Side 1 - EXCELLENT Side 2 – EXCELLENT-
A superb looking stereo disc which appears nr MINT in strong daylight with only the faintest marks visible; so difficult to find in this condition. This record has obviously been well cared for and retains its origanal sheen. Under a halogen desk light there becomes visible some faint non sounding surface marks and some whispy sleeve removal marks but nothing feelable. There are no feelable scratches to the vinyl. The very early stamping codes along with the heavy duty vinyl indicates that this is one of the earliest UK STEREO pressings and dates positively to the November 1963 release date. A genuine rarity and not to be missed.
Audio: Side 1 - VERY GOOD - Side 2 – EXCELLENT-
I detected some distortion to the music signals on side 1 although all the gaps are silent and free from noticeable surface noise. Side 2 grades higher at excellent-. There are no loud pops or ticks to either side. It is clear the record has not been played many times in its 50 year history and the audio may well benefit from a professional clean. The record does not jump or stick.
Labels: Side 1 - EXCELLENT Side 2 – Nr MINT
A great set of STEREO labels. Side 1 has evidence of only 1 or 2 spindle trails. Side 2 has no evidence of any spindle trails. Side 2 carries the incorrect ‘Jobete’ label credit only found on the early pressings and the miss-spelt ‘gotta’ on side 1.
Cover
EXCELLENT-
A very respectable and genuine 1st issue dark STEREO cover with the large size stereo logo. This is the earliest stereo cover and so difficult to find in this condition. There is some rubbing to the large sized stereo logo and some minor damage to the bottom right hand flipback, however the front panel still retains a good sheen and the back panel still retains much of its original freshness. The spine is uncrushed. The back panel carries the miss-spelt ‘gotta’ on ‘You Really Gotta Hold on Me’.
Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT +
Clean & correct with just a touch of light storage/handling creasing.
