Description
Original issue early 1963 British Mono(!) pressing of "With the Beatles". This is the "no tax code / Dominion credit" variation with the misprint of "GOTTA" on track B3 on the back cover. LP is pretty clean, some small visible marks, plays fantastic with nothing more than a bit of surface noise. Sleeve is in good shape for its age, the thin gloss laminate Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back has some of the usual creasing and marks in the laminate. Inner sleeve is a generic tracing paper type, not with the Emitex printing, will ship with a poly lined sleeve. A very nice copy all around, and quite hard to find on this side of the pond. 1 - Front laminated, tri-flipback and printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., with a large 'MONO' indicator on the front, top, right hand corner.
2 - The title of track B3 as 'You Really Gotta [instead of: 'Got A'] Hold On Me' on the sleeve.
3 - The line beginning 'Your Man' on side B ends with 'Northern'.
4 - The publishing credit for B7 'Money' is given as 'Dominion.Belinda (Ldn.) Ltd.'. Earlier pressings credit 'Jobete Mus. NCB'.
5 - The lack of a purchase tax code embossing on either side of the spindle hole.
