Description


Wooding's Grand Central Red Caps - "Cant Get Enough of You' b/w "That's My Desire".  Victor Orthophonic 22718.  Condition is strong E-, some would grade it E but I will be conservative.   No scratches, good gloss, very light wear, surface scuffs as pictured, plays without distortion or noise, one light spindle mark side A label, several side B.  See pix for more track info - Side B was included in the fantastic Frog Records CD compilation "Thumpin & Bumpin", which has Victor jazz recordings from Harlem from the early depression.  According to the liner notes, this 1931 record is from the time when record sales fell from 104 million in 1927 to 6 million in 1932 "a period when recordings were a dispensible luxury, and unsurprisingly many are exceedingly rare in their original form".  (CD is NOT included with this listing, it in itself is rare)
