Description
Here’s a pair of unreleased demos on acetate by Wynn Stewart, billed as “Windy Stewart” on the labels. One side has a very early version of “Crazy Arms,” which may even precede the version that was unearthed in 2012. The other side is an unknown song called “Way Down on the Border,” which Wynn Stewart apparently never released in any form. This acetate is from a long gone studio near Los Angeles, and to the extent that I have been able to date it, it could have been recorded anytime between 1953 and 1955. The disc is 10” and plays at 78 rpm. Condition is VG with some light visible wear and the hiss you would expect from an old acetate. It also has a slight warp that doesn't affect tracking. I will include mp3’s of both sides in full with the purchase of the disc. I’ve excerpted both sides below:
