This is a highly collectible 1978 Japanese vinyl pressing of "Kelly Great," the 1959 debut as a leader for jazz pianist Wynton Kelly. Released on the Vee Jay label via Tokuma Onkyo Co., Ltd., this "Vee Jay Original Recordings" edition features an all-star hard bop lineup.
The "Vee Jay Original Recordings" Series
This 1978 series (identifiable by the "JC" catalog prefix) was produced in Japan to high audiophile standards, featuring pristine digital-mastered sound and heavy-duty cardstock sleeves.
