BID NOW & WIN. WE WILL NOT BE LISTING THIS AGAIN. A Rare Opportunity to own this complete set of 6 Picasso Cover Albums with The Saidenberg Little Symphony records, produced by Bell Records NYC in 1959
With 3 doubles, so this is 9 albums total for one price. Contains: Handel, Telemann,Mozart, Hayden,Beethoven, Vivaldi, Geminiani & more
we are not record dealers, & will describe as best as we can, And are selling as is..& as found. We have full confidence that you will agree with our description and will dearly love these rare recordings. Interesting story of their birth, the more we read, the more we love them.
The top row, #1,2,3 are doubles.. & a few of these album covers are the first printing: on the reverse lower left, "Picasso cover picture courtesy of Saidenberg Gallery" and the words Saidenberg Gallery are blacked out.. the second printing of the cover has removed these words altogether. So must have been a legal thing, tho read more about the Saidenberg Below. ALL RECORDS LOOK CLEAN & NEW, we have not cleaned records or covers.. covers browning, corners bumped, a few seams split. a few small stains on rear, nothing to worry about we feel. please see all photos and e mail with any questions.
#1 top right seam split 1/2", slight water damage lower edge. #1A: bottom right corner bumped, top left seam opening 1/4" #2 small brown stain top, top seam split almost all the way, #2A slight water damage lower edge, right top and right lower corners bumped, right edge water marks #3 browning , seams look good #3A same #4 brown stains on rear, about size of a quarter #5 browning, lower right corner bumped, very tiny piece of cover missing on corner.. see photo, seams are good #6 browning, top right corner worn , bumped & unraveling. see photo, top seam split 2" in middle other seams good
In the '50s Eleanore and Daniel Saidenberg owned The Saidenberg Gallery on East 77th Street in New York City, and were trusted friends of Pablo Picasso, leading collectors of his work and in 1954 became his Official American Representatives. In 1955 they held the exhibit A Selection of 55 Drawings by Pablo Picasso.
In 1959 Daniel's “The Saidenberg Little Orchestra” made the classical recordings sleeved in these jackets of full-sized prints of Picasso drawings.

Daniel Saidenberg enjoyed an extraordinary career as a cello soloist and chamber musician and conductor. He was a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, 1926 to 1930. and principal cello with the Chicago Symphony Chorus 1930 to 1937. From 1933 to 1937 head of the cello department at the Chicago Musical College. In 1941 he formed The Saidenberg Little Symphony.
He began conducting the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra in 1946.
Produced by Arthur Shimkin 1922-2006 owner of the famous Bell Records, -a predecessor to Arista.
