Description

EAST COAST C-1048. THE X-CEPTIONS - LIVE AT THE GABELS. Privately pressed live album recorded at The Gabels in Margate NJ (right next to Atlantic City) in 1970. From what I can gather only about 1000 copies of this album were pressed. It was primarily sold by the band at their shows and not stocked in stores. It seems that the 2 original songs on the album are studio cuts and the rest are live. I've provided a sound clip of the original song "Questions". Overall the album gives you a cool glimpse of the club life at the Jersey Shore circa 1970. Since 3 songs are Sly Stone covers you can pretty much guess what the band wanted to sound like. The cover is still in the shrink wrap and is near mint. The record is near mint. I doubt a nicer copy exists. Save on shipping with multiple wins.
