Description
Up for bid is the rare, out of print double 45 rpm vinyl of XTC's Skylarking. This is the corrected polarity version which sounds amazing at 45 rpm. Also, features the original 'unused' album artwork.
Grading: Jacket is near mint condition with 2 slight corner bumps on the bottom (from initial shipment) Top corners are near mint. Normally, I grade by Goldmine guidelines. However, I must further explain the grading here. The records were shipped from England in heavy paper sleeves. The records moved around in shipment, causing light scuffing. The vinyl is shiny (being played only 3 or 4 times) By strict Goldmine standards, the vinyl is not near mint. HOWEVER, I don't believe that near mint Skylarking vinyl exists in the US. I will ship in rice paper sleeves as an added protection. Also, please note the tear by the spindle on side 4. The quality control was a bit lacking on such an important release.
I am a record collector and have been disappointed in 'ambitious' record grading. I want you to be happy with your purchase. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
