YARDBIRDS "FOR YOUR LOVE" 1965 Epic stereo original pressing of their 1st U.S. LP. Featuring Jeff Beck on lead guitar! BN 26167 VG+/M
The Yardbirds followed hot on the heels of the Rolling Stones in London playing the more sophistcated Chicago blues & revved-up versons of U.S. rhythm & blues tunes as opposed to the teen-oriented Merseybeat sound from Liverpool & points north. This album features new member Jeff Beck on lead guitar (although Eric Clapton plays on some tracks). Keith Relf handles the lead vocals & harmonica with Chis Dreja, Jim McCarty & Paul Samwell-Smith rounding out the rest of the group. Produced by Giorgio Gomelsky, their first manager. This album had no U.K. counterpart at the time.
