Description
One of the rarest lps on the Brain label..this is "A Meditation Mass" by Yatha Sidhra. Dark green brain label..no Metronome underneath logo..not sure if this originally had this or not? Gatefold cover with stencil. Great psych kraut rock by this German prog group featuring moog synthesizer, flutes, guitars, percussion, drums, etc...Achim Reichel contributes notes on the back cover. Cover is VG+ with some bending on part of the letter M in the stencil evident..some light spine wear(writing is still legible) and a few small cover creases here and there. Overall pretty nice shape. Vinyl unfortunately is VG- with numerous light marks and scratches..nothing deep or really nasty but it's been well used. I've cleaned it twice on a nitty gritty. During playback there is a pretty constant soft crackling throughout..nothing that is very loud or abrasive, but audible crackling nonetheless. It's not really audible during the loud 'rocking' track at the beginning of side 2. I think that because of the quiet nature of the rest of the album it makes the crackling apparent.
So overall a fairly decent starter copy if you are not too fussy with soft surface noise/crackling.....might keep someone happy until they can afford the bucks for a NM copy.
