This is the UK 1st Press of 'Close To The Edge' by Yes. This rare earliest press is complete with the very first A1/B1 matrix, the orange and green Atlantic labels, the original printed inner sleeve and the 1st fully textured card gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a superb bright gloss with a few light marks on both sides. When played the sound is warm, rich and very clear, there are some moments of noise but these are largely insignificant, the sound is still bold and bright. The labels are Excellent. They are completely clean with bold text and bright colours. There is only slight spindle wear.
The printed inner sleeve is solid, with only light wear. There is one edge split and a corner fold otherwise it is extremely bright.
The fully textured gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are warm and rich and the black text is bold. There is light corner wear but the edges are still sharp and firm. The textured inside is superb, exceptionally clean and bright. The whole sleeve still feels exceptionally solid.
