YES TIME AND A WORD ABSOLUTE 1ST PRESS UK PLUM LABEL
Original UK pressings of the first two Yes LPs are extremely difficult to locate, since they didn't really sell many records until the breakthrough 3rd LP, The Yes Album. But up for auction here is Yes' second LP, from 1970, "Time And A Word", on the "plum' Atlantic label, in stereo. It also comes with the rare original lyric insert! The fidelity on the UK pressing of this LP is not to be believed--far superior to the US pressing IMHO. The machine stamped trail off reads 240006A1 and 240006B1, indicating a true 1st pressing. The vinyl grades a nice VG++with full gloss and just a couple of light marks--not far at all from a Near Mint grade. The labels are Near Mint with just a few hardly visible spindle marks. The jacket, with a design completely unique and not available on the US version, grades VG++, with a couple of light creases and a name written on the back cover, with bright colors, and no other writing, seam splits, drillholes, saw marks, etc. Don't miss out on this awesome LP!. Grading is very conservative, with strict Goldmine grading standards applied. All records are shipped in sturdy record mailers with adequate packing materials, with the record removed in its inner sleeve and placed on top of the jacket to prevent seam splitting.
