The album's concept, a two-disc, four-piece work of symphonic length and scope (based on the Shastric scriptures, as found in a footnote within Paramahansa Yogananda's book Autobiography of a Yogi), was their most ambitious to date developing stronger prog/jazz rhythms than before (explored later and in more depth on Relayer).
On release it received notably hostile reviews. Gordon Fletcher in Rolling Stone described it as "psychedelic noodling" and Chris Welch in Melody Maker described it as "Brilliant in patches, but often taking far too long to make its various points, and curiously lacking in warmth or personal expression".
Yes fans still remain divided over whether or not this is one of the group's stronger works. Some claim it's far too excessive and obscure, while others see it as one of the band's masterpieces

All four labels are clean and factory-fresh with no spindle markings without any signs of use at all.

Audio: NEAR MINT
Sounds wonderful throughout and my play-check on high end audio system revealed no major audio issues of note - no scratches, clicks or pops, groove-wear or distortion and no surface noise to speak.
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
This sleeve is incredibly prone to wear but this one is a very fine example with none of the common ring wear and rubbing 1 light crease to bottom corner) and crisp, sharp edges and spine (there is no spine text)
