Description
YES Time And A Word 1970 UK ATLANTIC 1st PRESS w/LYRIC INSERT - NEAR MINT AUDIO
YESTime And A Word
UK ATLANTIC (SUPER 2400 006) FIRST PRESSING (August 1970)
ONE OF YES' POOREST SELLING RECORDS - IT SPENT ONLY 3 WEEKS IN THE UK CHART IN AUGUST 1970, PEAKING AT No. 45 (and in consequence is one of their hardest to find)
*ALL THREE EARLY YES ALBUMS I AM LISTING TODAY CAME FROM THE SAME ORIGINAL OWNER WHO LOVED "Time And A Word" BUT LOST INTEREST IN THE BAND BY "Fragile" SO ONLY "Time And A Word" HAS SEEN A FEW SPINS, THE OTHER TWO ARE BARELY PLAYED
PRESSED WITH THE FIRST ISSUE ATLANTIC RED/PLUM LABELS
MATRIX: 2400006 A*∇1 11 9 / 2400006 B∇1 11 1
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL SINGLE MATT SLEEVE "Printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd., London, S.E.1"
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL LYRIC INSERT PRINTED ON ONE SIDE OF THIN WHITE CARD WITH THE '2400 006' CATALOGUE NUMBER IN THE BOTTOM CORNER
AND THE ORIGINAL WHITE POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE (DATE CODED '0670' - June, 1970)
Side 1: No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed / Then / Everydays / Sweet Dreams
Side 2: The Prophet / Clear Days / Astral Traveller / Time And A Word
LABELS: EXCELLENT+
Clean, bright, unmarked labels - moderate spindle traces - well played but also very well cared for
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both vinyl surfaces shine like new with nothing but a light inaudible scuff on Side One and harmless hairlines visible under bright light
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Plays beautifully throughout with just a touch of low-level surface between some of the tracks - nothing really, and nothing else to fault the fantastic sound quality - great copy
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT-
General light wear to the edges and a small mark top front corner (which could well be a printing issue) but otherwise, solid with all text on the (pinched) spine clear and bold
INSERT: NEAR MINT
Clean, white and unmarked with only light signs of handling
POST & PACKING:
