OUTER SLEEVE:

Original matt finish textured outer sleeve, featuring the work of Roger Dean

The sleeve is in near mint condition, the spine remains clearly visible and un-crushed, the front and back remain unmarked

This textured outer sleeve has spent it’s entire life protected by a thick plastic dust cover and as a result is as good as the day it was printed.

INNER SLEEVE:

Inner is the original green inner that was issued with this album at the time of it’s release, no unwanted writing has been scribbled on any part of the complete package. There is however a small bit of rubbing on the lyric sheet (see photo)

LABEL:

Original, Atlantic Green and Orange labels, any signs of play are at a minimum, very little, if any visible spindle wear. No scuffing staining or unwanted names.

VISUAL VINYL GRADING:

Both sides of the vinyl are visually EXCELLENT very little marking of any kind,one or two hairlines perhaps just some slight signs of sleeve removal.However the album retains a very high gloss sheen to both sides.

PLAY GRADING:

The entire album plays beautifully throughout, No skips, jumps or pops.

OVERALL THIS ALBUM IS A MUST FOR THE SERIOUS YES COLLECTOR. THE A1, B1 FIRST PRESS MATRIX COPIES OF THIS ALBUM ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND. THE COVER ALONE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION MAKING THIS COLLECTABLE IN ITS OWN RIGHT. THE VINYL THOUGH NOT VISUALLY MINT PLAYS LIKE MINT AND IS THE BEST COPY I HAVE OWNED AND I HAVE HAD A FEW!!! THE LYRIC SHEET IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I HAVE PUT A REALISTIC RESERVE ON THIS ALBUM SO…GOOD LUCK, ANY QUESTIONS DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
