This one is aweeeeeesome!!! The 6-track 12" by this amazing Japanese goth/darkwave/post-punk band with fantastic female vocals! Their music is comparable and similar to Bardo Thödol, Kokushoku Elegy, The BC Lemons, Indo Neko, Chinatsu Kuzuu, or even Madame Edwarda! Self released by the band themselves on Lyric Records in 1987. The singer Yuki has such a beautiful voice. Their songs feature synth, violin and piano. The band was formed in Tokyo in 1986 and was active until sometime in the mid '90s. Despite the superb quality of their music and all the songs on this record, Yosho Romanesque is completely unknown and is sadly not recognized by most of fans of this genre. Besides this 12", I know they also released at least one CD in the late '90s or early '90s, and a tape.
A must have record for a serious fan or collector of Japanese goth/darkwave and new wave. If you like the other Japanese female-fronted bands in the similar style like Bardo Thödol, G-Schmitt(Syoko), Duppi, Jail Meating, Still, Geil, Indo-Neko, Gille' Loves, D-Day, Chinatsu Kuzuu etc, you'll love this record! Very rare and hard to find!!! If you miss this, good luck finding another one... Considering both the quality of the songs and obscurity, I'd say this is a real hidden gem of '80s Japanese wave stuff!!!! Good luck bidding.
