Product Description
Though they might borrow heavily from the emo playbook of the '90s, You Blew It! continue to show that they don't need to play on nostalgia on Keep Doing What You're Doing. Filled with chunky rhythms, noodly, interwoven guitars, and earnest and uncertain lyrics, the band hit on all the touchstones of the genre in a way that feels reverent rather than rehashed. While the album will definitely have a special place in the grizzled old hearts of Cap'n Jazz and Texas Is the Reason fans, You Blew It!'s sound is solid enough to stand on its own, and will definitely grab the attention of anyone following and already in love with smart and emotive pop-punk bands like the Wonder Years. ~ Gregory Heaney
