On offer here is a 1980 first pressing of the young Marble giants LP 'Colossal Youth' on the Rough Trade label. This very rare album is outstanding condition. I bought this album new on its release in 1980 and it has had very few plays from new as I taped it and filed it away shortly after buying it. This first press is now extremley hard to find in any condition but this copy is truly outstanding!!! Sleeve, label and vinyl all fabulous and a 'must have' for any serious post punk collection!!!!!
Sleeve Unlaminated black and white sleeve Ex condition A stunning example perfectly flat with no fading or marks. A very light ringmark on reverse - Spine has some wear and light creases,most type legible on spine. Some light edgewear to bottom edge - none of which is detrimental to overall excellent appearance of this sleeve. Opening edge sharp and crisp with no feathering.
Labels Mint minus !!! No fading, no writing or spindle marks.Very slight cockling around centre holes (see photos).
Vinyl Near Mint!!! Perfectly flat and still with it's original 'just pressed' sheen, no marks - Really fantastic condition!
Sound A Just very light surface noise on run ins and some surface noise on track 1 side 2. Overall a really excellent sound.
Liner Near Mint Original polyliner.
This is most definitely for the serious collector. An impresssive example that will definately not disappoint!!!! A very rare opportunity to own this seminal album in awesome condition!!!!!! This will probably be your only opportunity to obtain an original first press of this album in this stunning condition - don't miss!!!!!!!!!
