Here we have a listing for YOUTH OF TODAY Break Down The Walls. (1st Press WW4 Blue Vinyl Wishingwell Records 1986) The Record is in EXcellent Condition. (Blue Vinyl) The Cover is in VG+ Condition. (with Insert) (See Pics)
1st press on blue vinyl in a blue, red and white sleeve. 150 copies made on blue vinyl.
It included a folded insert with lyrics & band-pictures / infos.
100 of each color were given to the band to sell, but before they had a chance, everything from their van was stolen while parked near CBGB's before a show. Assuming the thieves were more interested in selling the band's equipment than some records, it can be inferred that the majority of these records were destroyed.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: " This is an original 1st press of the LEGENDARILY RARE hardcore punk album. Story goes 150 blue and 150 red copies were made as the first pressing. The band received around 100 copies of each which were stolen along with their music gear and tour van before a CBGB’s gig. The rest of the albums were sent to some record stores in California where some were destroyed by a shop owner by hammering them to a fence outside his shop. How much of this story is true is up for debate, but what is not up for debate is how incredibly rare a Wishingwell blue or red vinyl copy is! This copy has no major flaws and includes the original insert "
A total of 10 have sold online from 2004 until 2016, which is when the very last copy was sold online. This is one of the rarest records on the planet!
