Yellow River Concerto Yitkin Seow HK Japan 6.240055
Pianist Yitkin Seow with the Gumma Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lim Kek Tjiang perform “The Yellow River Concerto”, which was based on a work by Hsien Hsing-hai. In addition the record includes “Sinkiang Dance No. 1” by Ding Shan Di, “Tibetan Suite” by Lu Hua Bai and two other works. A Japanese pressing (JVC) on the HK Label (6.240055) , the record is of new appearance. The cover is excellent.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
