Description
Yes - Close to the Edge with 1st press matrix numbers. Loft find, unplayed since 1980 at the latest except for testing, it was in a box in the corner of my parent's loft and I forgot I had it.
The record appears unmarked on both sides. I've done a test play at a friend's house and both sides play fine with just the odd crackle. The labels are nice and clean and are in the original green and darker orange of the first batch.
The inner sleeve is intact but with a few creases, a little wear and, on one side, a few marks which I think are remnants of glue - see below.
The cover is gatefold and textured throughout, denoting an original press. However, it has a little wear and a couple of white spots to the lower edge of the front. The bottom edge of the whole gatefold is unglued and open all the way along and there are signs of an attempt at re-gluing. If you look at the pics you will see what I mean. There is also a crease to the bottom of the rear cover where I think the re-gluing was done.
For catalogue purposes, the matrix numbers are K 50012 A1/B1
All in all this is an absolutely original album. The vinyl is in great condition but the cover is not so good.
