Description

Up for auction is an impossibly hard to find white label MONO promo of the progressive rock masterpiece Yes "Close to the Edge". Cosmetically, the vinyl is a strong VG+ with minor hairlines on both sides and a couple minor paper scuffs from the original inner sleeve. The playgrade is a solid EX overall with only faint surface noise during the quieter segments and between tracks and a few sporadic louder clicks during the louder segments which the music pretty much overshadows. These mono promos were only pressed in the low hundreds specifically for AM radio stations still broadcasting in monaural format. The mix is basically a wall of intense sound that is very bottom heavy which brings Chris Squire's bass work to the forefront and it is absolutely massive. My absolute favorite format of this lp.
