Yes - Close To The Edge ( 1972 Atlantic very first pressing. A1/B1 matrices. Fully textured cover K50012 ). Wow. . . here's something a bit special. . Yes,s masterpiece in it's TRUE original form and it's NEAR MINT throughout!. . . . this is the one they all want nowadays and this is a true beauty , hardly played. With the darker coloured BRICK RED LABELS labels and the cover textured outside AND inside gatefold. A1 / B1 matrix numbers taken from the first generation master tape offering far superior sound quality to all later pressings and digital format re-issues. Fully textured cover is in beautiful shape heavily textured looks and feels like leather. Normally this suffers from rubbing on the soft textured vulnerable finish but no rubbing at all here. Beautiful crisp opening edges. Bright colours radiate. All important silver line present in the front wording. Spotlessly clean. A true original cover.MINT just perfect. Original dark green PAPER inner ( later issues were card ) has no splits or writing, just some LIGHT EDGE WEAR. Dark green/dark orange Atlantic labels show no signs of use . Grooved and no WEA Credits. NEAR MINT. Heavyweight vinyl ( later issues were thinner pressings ) lies flat and true on the turntable platter. Gorgeous sheen on the playing surfaces. Can only have been played a handful of times. As good as it gets, only tiny microscopic sleeve removal lines only seen under direct spotlight . Beautifully silent on the quiet segments of the title track sends shivers up the spine still. The only way to properly hear this masterpiece as it was originally intended to be heard. A1/B1. Very few remain in this glorious condition now
