Description

This is it, the ultra rare orange vinyl "Batman" pressing of Youth of Today's "Can't Close My Eyes" EP. Only 100 of these exist. It was the final pressing on Kevin Seconds from 7 Seconds' record label Positive Force and was made for Ray Cappo and Jordan Revelation to trade for toys. It's the only pressing of the 7" on colored vinyl and has a small Batman insignia stamped on the cover. Comes with original bag and lyric sheet and also inside is an actual photo of me (Porcell), Ray Cappo, Jordan Revelation, Bessie Wrecks, Mark Pingatore (Pagan Babies) and Kevin Seconds outside a casino in Reno, NV on the first ever Youth of Today tour in 1985. The vinyl and packaging are in near mint condition. 
On that tour, we played Fenders in Long Beach, CA which, unknown to us, was notorious at the time for gang-related violence.  The bill was Youth Brigade, 7 Seconds, Dr. Know, Uniform Choice and Youth of Today. Towards the end of our set, one of the bouncers for absolutely no reason bodyslammed a Sloth Crew kid that we had befriended, so with guitar in hand I punched the bouncer in the head and kicked him off the stage. Next thing I know, Dan O'Mahoney from No For an Answer grabs me and starts rushing me towards the back door. "You don't know what you've done, that bouncer is in the LADS (Los Angeles Death Squad), we've gotta get you out of here before you get a knife in your back!" Just as we get to the backstage area, the bouncer catches up to us. I now realize he is a good 6 inches taller than me and outweighs me by about 100 pounds. I have no idea what's gonna happen when the guy reaches out towards me and surprisingly I realize he wants to shake my hand. Then he says, "Yo bro, sorry I whacked your boy, didn't realize he was with you guys. I don't want no beef with NYC, tell the Cromags that it's all good, they're one of my favorite bands." Then he walked away and I realized that the Age of Quarrel record and my shaved head probably saved me from a severe beatdown. Cromags, skinhead, breakout...
