ZIPPER - ZIPPER (1975 Whizeagle) very rare original

Here is an extremely rare original LP on the Whizeagle label (W-0001) from Zipper titled "Zipper".  This is a very rare 1975 original private press from the Pacific Northwest ( Portland, Oregon, to be exact) from the punk / hard rock band fronted by vocalist Fred Cole (ex-Lollipop Shoppe, pre-Rats, pre-Dead Moon).  The band also included Jim Roos on Guitar, Greg Shadoan on bass, and Lorry Erk on Drums.  This release was limited to 500 copies, and the cover is quite unique: two photographic prints fastened together with electrical tape.  I bought this brand new from a gentleman in Portland, OR back around 1980 who said he received this copy directly from Fred Cole.  This is the story he gave me regarding the album (I can't substantiate this story, but this is what I was told):

The band used different colors of tape to tape the cover together.  White tape was originally used.  When they ran out of white tape, they then used blue tape.  After they did 495 copies, they then ran out of blue tape, too.  They only had 5 copies left so they finished those off with black tape.  This album is one of the 5 copies that used black tape.  Again, this is what I was told when I bought the album - I can't prove the story's authenticity.

Everything is in M- condition!  I only played this album twice since opening it - once to put it on cassette when I first bought it, and the second time to grade it for this auction.  The cover is still in the original shrink wrap, which has some tears from being on the shelf for so many years.  The cellophane has some light yellowing which you can see in the picture, but the cover has no yellowing at all.  The cover is in perfect shape.

I am also selling all three albums from The Rats (Fred Cole's band after Zipper), as well as some albums by Dead Moon.  With several winning bids you could have an excellent Fred Cole collection!

When I ship a package internationally, I will NOT enter a value greater than $20 on the customs slip unless you request it.  International post offices charge an additional fee for you to pick up your package if the value exceeds $20.  It's terribly unfair for you to have to pay more to your post office after you've already paid for shipping.
