So, after five decades of collecting vinyl and Hi-Fi, the time has finally come to downsize. Over the next few months, with great reluctance, I will be gradually selling off my treasured collection of records, cds and hi-fi equipment. It will take a while !!! For instant sale is a copy of the rarely-seen UK FIRST PRESSING in MONO of the live 'ZOOT' album from 1966 by ZOOT MONEY'S BIG ROLL BAND. It is on the COLUMBIA label and has the catalogue number SX 6075 indicating that it is the mono version. The matrix numbers in the run-out grooves end in -1 and -1 confirming that this is a first pressing. What makes this version special though is the fact that it is signed on the rear sleeve by all the members of the band including Zoot himself and also a very young Andy Summers who, of course, much later found fame and fortune with the Police. Interestingly, at this stage in his career, he called himself Andy Somers as you can see in the signature in the photos. The sleeve is in excellent condition for its age with just a few small creases in the lamination which you might be able to see in the first photo. There is also a name in blue writing on the rear sleeve above the autographs which you can see in photos 2 and 5. The spine is sharp, clear and fully readable. Please study all the photos to see the condition for yourself. The labels are in excellent condition but they do have quite a few 'spindle trails' as the record has been played many times. The record has a lot of surface marks. However, it plays really well with no 'sticking' or 'jumping' but there is some surface noise ('crackle') and some 'pops' which don't intrude too much. It is not a pristine album but it is still a fine listen. The album will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey. I will dispatch it in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by Second Class post so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible.
