Description
ZOOT SIMS & BOB BROOKMEYER – WHOOEEEE – STORYVILLE 914 – EX to VG+/EX – DG – MONO
Recorded in New York On February 6, 1956, this Storyville session features Zoot Sims on tenor and vocals, Bob Brookmeyer on valve trombone, Hank Jones on piano, Bill Crow on bass and Jo Jones. SIDE A: THE KING; LULLABY OF THE LEAVES; I CAN’T GET STARTED WITH YOU and SNAKE EYES. SIDE B: MORNING FUN; WHOEEE; MEDLEY (SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME; MY OLD FLAME and BOXCARS. This is a deep groove LP. It is a MONO recording.
I’ve graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl is clear on marks except for one very slight surface Cut One on Side A, which does not interfere with play. However, there are two ticks on it. There is a surface mark on Side Two, which also does not interfere with play. That is why I’ve downgraded it. Otherwise, the vinyl is clean of any other marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side. The record jacket is in excellent condition with some slight wear. There is one small taped corner on the upper right corner. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
