Recorded on January 13, 1956, this Van Gelder session features Jon Eardley on trumpet, Milt Gold on trombone, Phil Woods on alto, Zoot Sims on tenor, George Syran on piano, Teddy Kotick on bass and Nick Stabulas on drums. SIDE A: LEAP YEAR, THERE’S NO YOU and ON THE MINUTE. SIDE B: LADDERS; KOO KOO and EARD’S WORD. This is a deep groove pressing. The initials “RVG” are stamped on the blank vinyl on both sides of the LP. The address on the label is “446 W. 50TH ST., N.Y.C.” and the address on the record jacket is: “447 west 50th street, new york, 19 n. y.” There is a lip on the rim of the LP. The LP comes in its original glassine sleeve. This is a MONO recording.

I have graded the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket is in near mint condition with no sign of wear. The cover still has all of its original lamination. There is some discoloration on the liner notes, but not enough to take away the grade on this LP. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
