Up for bids is a great rare mono Jazz LP by Zoot Sims called "The Modern Art Of Jazz by Zoot Sims". Dawn Records. DLP-1102. 1956.RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING!
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!
Record's edge is raised.Front of cover is laminated.
Comes with plastic inner sleeve in VG+ condition.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. Front and back of cover have some wear and browning. Spine is intact with some minor wear and browning. Bottom of cover has a 1 1/4" split at the opening corner. This is still a nice example of this cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG to VG+. Looks really nice with some visual superficial marks that do not affect play. However, the track "Not So Deep" has a deep scratch from the middle to the end that does tick here and there on my player (I would probably have graded it VG++ if it weren't for that scratch). Otherwise, there is minor surface noise during and between tracks, but not too much wear at all. Record stills sounds great on my player!
Makes a great gift for any Zoot Sims fan!
