ZOOT SIMS – ZOOT! – RIVERSIDE RLP12-228 – EX/EX – WHITE LABEL – MONO

Recorded on December 13 & 18, 1956 in New York, this Riverside session features Zoot Sims on tenor and alto, George Handy on piano, Wilber Ware on bass and Osie Johnson on drums. SIDE 1: WHY CRY; ECHOES OF YOU and SWIM, JIM. SIDE 2: HERE AND NOW; FOOLS RUSH IN; OSMOSIS and TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE. This is a White Label first issue and is a MONO recording.

I have graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean on any marks, except for a couple of very slight ones on Side 2, which do not interfere with play. The vinyl still retains its original luster. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side of the LP. The record jacket is in excellent condition, but there is some slight damage on the cover at the top right corner and one small taped seam on the top right corner as well. There is some slight discoloration on the liner notes, but does not take away from the condition overall. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
