ZOOT SIMS – ZOOT SIMS QUINTET – JAZZLAND JLP 2 – EX/EX- - DG - MONO
Recorded on December 13 & 18, 1956, this session features Zoot Sims on tenor and alto, Nick Travis on trumpet, George Handy on piano, Wilber Ware on bass and Osie Johnson on drums. SIDE 1: WHY CRY?; ECHOES OF YOU and SWIM, JIM. SIDE 2: HERE ANS NOW; FLOOLS RUSH IN; OSMOSIS and TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE. This is Deep Groove pressing and a MONO recording.
I’ve rated the LP as EX and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clear of any marks, with the exception of one on Side 2, which is nearly impossible to see, but I found it. It does not interfere with play. There is no wear in the spindle hole and there are a few marks around it. It just misses a M- rating. The record jacket is rated at EX as there is an old small taped seam in the top right corner of the record jacket. Other than that, there is no sign of wear and this LP jacket is all white, just asking for wear. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
