Description
I used to have another LP by this Pueblo Indian band where they did '96 Tears' etc type garage rock '60s sounds but this double LP is the real winner...from mid '70s private press and they totally have that organ/guitar garageband vibe on mix of cover versions and originals. The highlight worth it alone is a 7:20 long version of Neil Young's "Like A Hurricane" with fab organ and terrific inept fuzz guitar leads, and a vocal so buried and obscure it feels psychy, these guys are way far from being slick and that adds to it, vocals have charming ineptness as well. They do a wide range of songs but all in the amateur garageband sound. Other tracks include versions of "Captain Soul" (Byrds), "I Fought The Law" (Bobby Fuller 4), "House Of The Rising Sun" (Animals), "Simon Says" (1910 Fruitgun Co.), "I Can Help", "Lyin' Eyes", "Wasted Days And Wasted Nights", and originals with titles like "Deep Inside", "Baby I Tried", "Waspy", "El Mosquito" etc. Whatever songs they do they keep the ultra basic inept garage organ/guitar/bass/drums vibe happening. Double LP with no label name but number ZM-5001. Cover is autographed on front and titled "Wanted" with the statement "Reward: More Than $70,000 Worth Of Music". Strong Ex/Ex clean condition.
