Description

I am downsizing my classic rock collection and will be selling a number of my ZZ Top LP's over the next week or so. Up for auction is my original Allied pressing of the Warner Brothers, Inc. ZZ Top Eliminator, produced in 1983. This record was mastered by Robert Ludwig of Sterling Sound and his initials are etched into the dead wax on both sides of the record. My main goal was to collect Near Mint versions of original vinyl for my rock collection, I wanted the same for the outer and inner sleeves as well, but the main priority was to to get the best quality vinyl as possible for the best audio quality, and also to get the best versions.  As far as condition goes, the outer sleeve is in Excellent condition, it's in beautiful condition, the only real flaw I can find are wrinkles to the bottom corner at the sleeve opening where there was some bending which caused the wrinkles, please see the photos. There is also a 1/2" wrinkle to the back of the sleeve near the spine. I am being very tough on my grading, otherwise no tears, rubs, scratches, the front and rear of the cover is very nice. The original inner sleeve is in VG+ condition, unfortunately their are two 2" slits and one 1" slit at the edges, it's too bad otherwise the inner sleeve is extremely clean. The vinyl itself is in beautiful near mint condition, no marks or flaws of any kind, and the labels are also near mint, I can't really find any flaws. It is not easy to find this record with this quality to the vinyl. The record plays with near mint quality as well, no sonic issues of any kind. There were a lot of versions of the original first U.S. pressing as this was a huge hit record for ZZ Top, this is the Allied plant pressings. The dead wax shows the correct inscriptions 1-23774-A-SH 2 MASTERDISK RL (drawn head with hat) (alpha) B-17810 -SH2 SLM (delta) 3332 1-6 and, 1-23774-B-SH 2 MASTERDISK RL  B-1781 -SH2 SLM (delta) 3332 1-4 as called out by Discogs for the true first Allied plant pressing. I will only sell to the continental United States, no international shipping. I will send via US Postal Service Media Mail. No reserve, just a very reasonable starting bid.
