Superb playing copy of ZZTop's beginnings.Quiet background.Clear inner sleeve. Vinyl is absolutely beautifull with great shine. Jacket sleeve has a little ring, spine and corner wear shown in the photos so VG+ rating on the jacket. From my personal well cared for collection.
In 1987 they remixed the sound and changed the track list for subsequent CD releases, which annoyed me because it deviated from a perfectly arranged and mixed early gutsy blues recording, which is what this is. It is a joy to listen to from the long gone era when albums were cohesive start to finish. I like the digital cd recordings of ZZ from the MTV era and onward just fine, but this recording deserves the warm treatment it got here.They produced something of Sterling quality here.This original song set is only availible on CD as far as I know on'The Complete Studio Albums 1970-1990'.
It is very hard to find pristine copys of their early sleeves like this pale yellow cover release I rated VG+ 30 years old and the cardboard sleeve was not the thickest to begin with, but this has a nice oldschool textured feel in the hand, not glossy and this one is nicer than most.
