Description
This album is very rarely seen for sale, it is an original 1st pressing vinyl album which sports the hardly seen first issue green cover border.
I will start with the all important cover, only the very first issues had this green border around the front cover, before the more usual red/pink border. The cover is a gatefold design which hides the 'Dance of the Gypsy Mutant Vacuum Cleaner'. The state of the cover is really excellent, there are no tears, splits or stains, held to the light there are two scratch marks on the front and if you want to be really hard there a couple of crease marks (see picture) on the spine face, as usual there are slight chaff marks on the corners.
The album was issued on the Reprise (Steamboat) label in 1970 and this is the stereo version with the number RSLP 2030.
The Matrix numbers as you would expect are :-
RSLP2030 A1 / RSLP2030 B1
The vinyl is in excellent to near mint condition and plays beautifully, the labels are clean, clear, no marks, writing etc and only light spindling, which is hard to see on this colour label.
I have put a low starting bid and no reserve on this great example of an almost impossible to find album, if you class yourself as a Zappa vinyl junkie this one could perhaps take pride of place in your collection, don't let it get away. E-Mail me for more info or pics ......Happy Bidding
