ID no. 9008999 Title: Physical Graffiti Test Pressing Set Artist: Zeppelin, Led Product Condition: SS Cover Condition: SS Description: This auction is for a STILL SEALED 2-LP Test Pressing Set of the Classic Records 200gram reissue of Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti". These highly collectible test pressings are from the first stamper and less than 20 exist. Test pressings reflect the closest you can get to the lacquers and hence have a special collectible value and store of value. After a slew of albums that built Led Zeppelin into the biggest rock band in the world, frenzied anticipation awaited 1975's "Physical Graffiti". Messrs. Page, Jones, Bonham, and Plant did not disappoint. This two-disc LP is a sprawling and adventurous effort, propelling the band away from its previous four-beat blues and roots sound, toward the scope of a progressive rock unit. It dabbles in Middle Eastern rhythms and folk stylings, as well as the band's signature heavy blues-rock riffs. But unlike some self-indulgent works from the 1970s, "Graffiti" is firmly planted in the upper echelon of that era's rock double albums. Highlights include concert favorites, Kashmir, Custard Pie, Houses of the Holy, The Rover, plus In My Time of Dying, Trampled Underfoot, In the Light, Bron-Yr-Aur, Down by the Seaside, Ten Years Gone, Night Flight, Wanton Song, Boogie With Stu, Black Country Woman, and Sick Again. Mastered under the direct supervision and approval of Jimmy Page.
