Description

An original 1972 copy of ZSATSFM on the UK RCA label. Matrix 2E/2E. Please note that this is not the very earliest version as the labels are mentioning 'Mainman'. I would estimate this Lp would still originate from late-1972  [probably for the Xmas market]. Note that it still carries all attributes of those initial copies.. Nice solid vinyl with shiny orange labels and 'stereo' mentioned at 12 o'clock. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover without mention of Mainman [this is in effect a 1st issue cover - identical] . Also included is the original inner sleeve with lyrics. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. A beautiful player which, thankfully, plays very nice and clean throughout. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A beautiful player for sure. The only deviation from the above grading is a touch of background rustle in a couple of spots in 'It Ain't Easy'. Nothing invasive or persistent - it just doesn't play quiet as clean as the rest of the LP. Make no mistake about it this is a really lovely original copy though.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A truly remarkable looking cover - I can't tell you how unusual it is to find them looking this well preserved. The front and back are in impeccable condition without the usual ring wear you to find in evidence. Worth noting, too, that there's no sign of fading. Those colours are all bold and vivid - just like it was when it was printed. There's barely any edge wear which is extremely unusual. The spine is 100% intact which I can assure you is a hard find. It's also totally square with the front and has not compressed at all. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Minimal ageing. No writing. Only a 1c.m. bottom edge split. Unusually well preserved.
