Description

Dark red label with silver print (released by Prestige Records). Stu Williamson, trombone; Kenny Drew, piano; Ralph Pena, bass; Jimmy Pratt, drums. 11 tracks. There are no notes on the back cover. The notes by Woody Woodward are included on a 1 sided sheet of paper, included with the record. The notes say that on all future New Jazz Records, notes will be on the back cover. Extremely rare edition. I have placed the notes outside the record jacket. Cover: VG. Top and bottom edges are repaired entirely by scotch tape. There are a number of scuff marks on the front cover. Some aging and a partial record ring on the back cover. Record: VG+ or better. Visually shows very light wear with 1 rub. Occasional light crackle, infrequent. Plays with clear, fine sound. A possible tiny skip on “What’s New”. This is a slower tempo and the light surface noise is more audible. There is no observable marks on “What’s new”. Most of the record plays close to mint(-). Audibly checked.
