Description

First off, of all the 590 eBay listings I have had to create this is the toughest one for me to write description wise but I will be as thorough and honest as possible. Message me obviously with any other question. So this is the 2nd pressing released immediately after the first pressing sold out. “Shout The Storm” was edited for this release.
Now, the most important issue, and this description is cut and pasted from google. “Some 1984 UK pressings of :zoviet:france:'s album Eostre developed a cloudy "fog" or residue on the playing surface. This chemical reaction is widely attributed to interaction with the specialized latex or silk-screened packaging materials used in the release. The "Fogging" IssueCause: Chemical outgassing or residue transfer from the unique custom sleeves (such as latex or treated print components) directly onto the vinyl.Impact: Many copies show a visible cosmetic haze or cloudiness on the grooves.Playback: While alarming to look at, collectors note that it often DNAP (does not affect play) significantly, though thorough cleaning with a proper record vacuum machine is recommended to remove surface residue.”
Let’s discuss the vinyl first. In the head listing for this I chose to give it a G+ but that was mainly due to the clouding issue. Here is a more detailed breakdown: Side A has very little clouding and plays as very strong VG+. The same applies to side B. Side C and D is where the issues come in. The cloudiness is more apparent on side C and PROMINENT on side D. I have tried to show this in the individual images of each side of the vinyl ( they are shown in order in the images btw). Due to the cloudiness on sides C and D ( and even after repeated cleanings) there is always a “dust bunny” left on my stylus after playback. This is most prominent on side D. I do not play this release on my regular stylus, I keep a back-up stylus for playing records in my collection that have issues like this one. The last image is of the dust bunny residue after playing side D. Ironically even with dust bunny issue, C and D still play as decent VG+ as well so go figure! I did play all 4 sides through twice before this listing to re-verify this description .
The original paper sleeves are still intact but I have stored the vinyl in Mobile Fidelity Sleeves over the years. The latex plastic artwork sleeve is still intact and in decent condition with the usual fold/crease marks from storage. And finally as for the tissue paper fold out , how do you grade a tissue paper sleeve? Of course it has some age related discolorations/marks and one small hole but considering all that I am going to give it a decent VG+ as far as tissue paper sleeves go !
This will be mailed very carefullly and securely packaged piece by piece in a box rather than the usual LP mailer as it does not fit into a regular LP mailer due to the oversized of the tissue paper sleeve. Hence the slightly higher shipping price.
Ok, I think I covered everything. Again message me with any other questions.
