33rpm 10" 11 CUT LP  ACETATE / DUBPLATE  (lacquer-coated metal disc) 9 RAYMOND SCOTT cuts  & 2 Woody Herman
Purchased years ago at a Hollywood area Estate sale of a fellow who was an engineer in the recording industry going back to the 1940's Sorry I don't remember his name. It is cut on a  professional Presto Dubplate/Acetate. He (or someone else) had cut some quality sounding, unique, albums, like this, on acetate. . Apparently made from new sounding 78's or perhaps the masters. I'm not aware of any static coming from the source of the music (any sound defects appear to be on this disc) so whatever original sources used were obviously very clean. I have no way of knowing when he (or whoever) made this. 
CONDITION: VG+ slight warp or the metallic equivalent causes only 1 or 2 very soft kerthumps during the music at start of B side. The last track  (side B #6) was crossed out, obviously because it is defective. The needle actually stops & repeats at that track, so I am not taking that track into account. The VG+ is for the 11 tracks listed. The homemade  labels have taken a bit of a beating over the years.

I JUST DECIDED TO ADD ANOTHER ACETATE (SEE LAST 2 PIX.) Numerically it was the acetate following the Scott/Herman Acetate. This one is Woody Herman/ Mugsy Spanier. I was going to list it separately but as I was play grading it (a 2nd time) when it finished the last track the needle jumped back & scratched the last track "Dinah". It doesn't totally ruin the song on this Acetate but now there are a lot of pops on it. The other defect on this Acetate is it repeats at the very start on the 1st song (Blues on Parade) so you need to place the needle in a bit losing 10 or 15 seconds of the song. Otherwise it plays a strong VG to VG+. I haven't raised the price I already had on the auction which I had scheduled.
