in 1982 budweiser started the budweiser showdown in a few select city to find local talent to write and perform a song . and compete aganist other artist from different cities . with a chance to win a recording contract . radio station WDIA sponsored the memphis tn . contestant. the winner of the memphis budweiser showdown in memphis was arletta nightingale. she wrote and perform full steam ahead. I dont know how far she made it in the competition . but later on she did record a few records. because this was a contest not many copies of this 45 were released you can find a few mostly in memphis tn . where i found this one . the record has scuffs and a few very light scratches plays very very well with no background noise. it does have the beginning of a stress crack . you cannot feel the crack and it is very hard to see you have to hold it under very bright light to see it . the crack has not broken all the way through yet . with prpoer care it may never break through. when looking at the stress crack you mkightthink it is a scratch until you look at both sides . the stress crack does not affect the the sound of the record. overall a very good record. I will double pack the record so it will arrive safely .price rating
