please note each record i sell will be properly play graded. i use my own REGA P3 (rewired internally and externally with a goldring 2400 cartridge) a Graham Slee phono stage +Cyrus 8vs2 amp played through REGA R5 speakers.
each lp will be posted in professional packaging - generally i use cardboard cruciform mailing boxes with 2 cardboard inserts - lps will of course be removed from their outer sleeves for posting.
i have given what i believe is as much information as you need to decide if you wish to bid. i hope the appraisal is an honest description which includes any defects - there are lots of photos which you can supersize.
the sold in the uk text on lps was removed in the summer of 1969 and only a few months later, before the end of the year, EMI changed their labels to black with silver text - this stereo pressing variation was only available for a very short period of time and was the last significant stereo label variation of the yellow black label era.
1960's issue of the beatles first lp - this is a UK pressing on the yellow / black parlophone label. the lp comes in its original GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE printed tri flipback sleeve. the sleeve is in excellent condition for its age.
the front cover is fully laminated and has the SMALL STEREO in the top right corner. the front cover is in NEAR MINT condition - The laminate is fully intact - there are no noticeable creases and their is no lifting of the laminate. the edges of the sleeve are all in perfect condition - i have examined very closely nice the corners are all in super condition - the spine is in perfect condition and the lettering is all intact - there is no ringwear or scuffing of the laminate.
the rear cover has some minor discolouration - the flipbacks are nicely stuck down and free of any damage there is no writing of any kind on the sleeve or labels
the lp comes in a plain paper sleeve - the EMITEX inners were no longer used at the time of this pressing.
the labels are nice and clean and free of any damage -there are only the very faintest traces of a couple of spindle marks - the labels are really excellent. the RIM TEXT is the GRAMOPHONE CO LTD there is NO sold in the uk text which puts this pressing as one one the more scarce stereo pressings at the very end of 60's yellow black parlophone labels. SIDE 2 has the KT tax code
MATRIX numbers are Side One - YEX 94 -1 AND Side Two YEX 95-1 - catalogue number is PCS 3042 the mother stampers are 2MG and 1 AT
the vinyl retains a very high gloss shine and there is no sign of groovewear - on visual inspection i can only find one minor blemish on the playing surface on side 2 track 4 - this only causes a couple of very light crackles - other than this the lp plays as NEAR MINT as you are going to get. i have listened to the lp from start to finish bothe sides and it is really great as far as sound quality goes.
